Mother Reader has posted a nice list of winter holiday books from around the world today, and points out that we are sorely lacking in a good story about Divaali. You hear that? If you have a story to tell, you know where to send it. (Um, to us. Yeah.)

As I commented on Mother Reader, Canadian author Rachna Gilmore's 'Lights for Gita' is a wonderful and rich book about Divali. Its story and message go beyond those of the usual "festival books".
