One of my favorite author's blogs is
Lisa Yee's (
Millicent Min, Girl Genius,
Stanford Wong Flunks Big Time). She has such an infectious sense of humor that comes through her posts that I can always count on a smile when I see that a new post is up. It's not that every post is comical (though many are-- my favorite of late was the
dueling Halloween peeps), but every one is infused with a sense of joyfulness with life itself. This attitude comes through in her books, too, and in her interview with the online children's lit mag,
The Edge of the Forest.
Read
the interview for yourself, but I'll leave you with thought from Lisa Yee about blogging:
"I LOVE blogging. It keeps me in touch with the world. The life of an author is so solitary. But blogs put you out there. Plus, you can read all about what others are up to. It's like you have permission to peek into people's diaries."
