... And More Awards!

To tell you the truth, I've been buried under a pile of stress these past few weeks. We will be moving our office in May, so I'm running around with my arms flailing and my tongue hanging out trying to get everything ready. I have several nervous breakdowns a day, and I can't believe how much stuff we have accumulated in this office.

In the midst of all this one day, I received a small, fat envelope in the mail from the Bank Street School of Education. There's only one thing that could come from there, and yes! It was their 2007 booklet of the Best Children's Books of the Year. Accompanying the booklet was a letter.

"I'm pleased to send you the 2007 edition of the Best Children's Books of the Year. In it you will find one or more of your books or books of your imprints listed." Aha! And I tore into it.

Wow! Both Selvakumar Knew Better and The Day the Dragon Danced were selected by the Bank Street committee this year! How about that for good news in my own personal world of moving misery?

Worth the Wait

I'm back!

OK, I've been back for three weeks and didn't say hello. I apologize. Can I make it up to you by showing you pictures of our trip to Taiwan and Japan? Here's my "virtual scrapbook"-- it's best if you view it at full size, but it's viewable from this window too.
